DESCRIPTION
EU summit: Solidarity Pact needed to exit virus crisis
SHOTLIST
EU leaders hold another video-summit on Thursday to determine the next steps in fighting the coronavirus pandemic and tackling its impact on Europe. The EPP Group is calling for a European Solidarity Pact for stronger action, to ensure a safe and orderly end to the lockdown and to jumpstart the economy and its jobs.

:30 I expect the Member States to be able to coordinate an exit together of this situation. We should exit from this situation at the same time, in the same way, and with solidarity among us. Everything that we did wrong in the past, we have to do it right, in the present and for the future. :51

What more should the Council do to coordinate health efforts?

4:07
The EPP has proposed a medical response coordinated unit, because we have to be coordinated, fighting against the virus. We are together, we suffered together, we fight against the virus together. We have to win together. We should go to the market to buy medical devices together. 4:30
2:23
What we should expect of the Council is to avoid not having enough money for buying tests. All around Europe, we have to have enough money for buying tests. 2:37.

How can an EU health app help against Covid-19?

1:08
It would be a disaster, having 27 different apps. We need only one, we need a European app, a simple one, and very secure for the data protection. 1:19
1:28
I would like the Council to study, and if it is possible, adopt the EPP proposal.

What is Parliament proposing to get Europeans back to work?
