A credible EU needs a Pact for European Jobs and one global voice

Europe, United States
When we insist on a 5G-network for Europe, on a project for a fight against cancer and the idea of a new battery technology, it is not just about showing the EU flags on the billboards how much money we spent. It's about delivering on jobs You can spend the money of the Recovery Fund only once - and our priority is the future of Europe's young generation. Let us use now one third of the Recovery Funds to finance a „Pact for European Jobs“!
Credibility means for us to immediately start the catching up on digital. You spoke about this, and for the moment I must say where are the initiatives from the Commission? So we had Green Papers, we had White Papers, but no real progress, and that is what we need. Probably we can even have a kind of a „Digital Act“, like we do the Climate Act to prioritise things in the investments on infrastructure and the investments of technologies.
Credibility means that the Recovery Fund must protect and support European interests, and let me be frank, not Chinese ones. That's why we need clear rules. No money from the European taxpayers in the pockets of state-owned companies from China.
Credibility means we have to speak with one voice in the world. Belarus and Russia. 30 years ago, people in Budapest and Dresden and Warsaw went out and fought for democracy and freedom. 12 years ago Kiev. And now Minsk.
We are credible when the people out in the streets in Minsk see that Europe is on their side. After the Navalny-case: All options of further sanctions must be on the table, you said it, even to stop the North Stream 2 project.
